They met for the annual <strong>Distinguished Gentleman\u2019s Ride<\/strong>, a motorcycling charity event which shines a light upon bikes, fashion and styles of a bygone era. More than <strong>56,000<\/strong> stylishly-dressed gentlemen in over <strong>500 cities<\/strong>\u00a0drove their motorcycles to raise<strong> funds for prostate cancer research<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For the second year in a row,<strong> we were there in Milan<\/strong>\u00a0driving our motorcycles and wearing special Lanieri suits with a lot of Italian gentlemen and friends.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-3221 gallery-columns-1 gallery-size-large'><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon portrait'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/blog.lanieri.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DGR16-Lanieri-LR-05.jpg'><img width=\"567\" height=\"850\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lanieri.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DGR16-Lanieri-LR-05.jpg\" class=\"attachment-large size-large\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"gallery-1-3227\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<figcaption class='wp-caption-text gallery-caption' id='gallery-1-3227'>\n\t\t\t\tRiccardo Schiavotto wearing Lanieri. Photo credit: Andrea Bene\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>The Distinguished Gentleman\u2019s Ride was <strong>founded in 2012 in Sydney Australia<\/strong>, inspired by a photo of\u00a0Mad Men\u2019s\u00a0Don Draper astride a classic bike and wearing his finest suit. It was decided a themed ride would be a great way to <strong>combat the often-negative stereotype of men on motorcycles<\/strong>, whilst connecting niche motorcycle communities together.<\/p>\n<p>The first ride brought together more than 2,500 riders across 64 cities, with the success of the event encouraging Mark to consider how it could be used to support a worthy cause.\u00a02015 saw more than 37,000 participants in 410 cities in 79 countries raising over $2.3million for prostate cancer research.\u00a0The fundraising goal this year was\u00a0five million globally,\u00a0<strong>the event has
